We don’t just teach languages, we have designed and developed a complete Primary Languages Platform to support both specialist and non-specialist teachers in delivering MFL lessons with confidence and consistency.
Our shared mission is to raise achievement in Primary Languages while promoting sustainability and global citizenship.
Director of Gramacri Ltd
Cristian Mattaliano is the Founder and Director of Gramacri Ltd, and the lead designer and developer of the Gramacri Primary Languages curriculum and online platform.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Modern Foreign Languages from the University of Palermo (Italy), Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from Birmingham City University (England). Cristian is an experienced and highly motivated MFL teacher with over nine years of teaching experience in UK primary and secondary schools. An Italian native speaker, he is proficient in Spanish and has a strong working knowledge of French.
He has extensive expertise in curriculum design, lesson sequencing, assessment, behaviour management and inclusive teaching practices. His work reflects a strong commitment to supporting both specialist and non-specialist teachers, while creating positive, structured and accessible learning environments for all pupils, including those with SEND and diverse cultural backgrounds.
German, Spanish & Mandarin Teacher
Hi, my name is Chelsea and I am a qualified teacher with experience teaching Spanish, English and English as a foreign language (EFL). I studied German, Spanish and Mandarin at university and thus, have a strong understanding of the way languages work. Consequently, Language learning is a huge part of my life and I live by the Chinese proverb ‘to learn a language is to have one more window from which to look at the world’. As part of the Gramacri team, I deliver lessons using a structured, progressive approach aligned with the Gramacri curriculum and platform, ensuring consistency and confidence for both pupils and teachers. As a result, I ensure my students reach high standards, whilst enjoying every step of their language journey.
Spanish Native Teacher
¡Hola! Me llamo Gastón y soy de Argentina. I am a Spanish native speaker and UK-qualified teacher (QTS & PGCE) with a BA (Hons) Degree in Childhood and Youth Studies. I have over 8 years of experience teaching Spanish in UK primary schools, both as a PPA teacher and as a SEND teaching assistant and HLTA.
I therefore have a strong understanding of how children learn and how to adapt lessons to meet a wide range of needs. My lessons are engaging, interactive and child-centred. I use a mix of music, movement, flashcards, songs and puppets to support vocabulary, pronunciation, fluency and confidence in spoken Spanish.
I enjoy sharing with my students both Standard Spanish and Latin American Spanish, helping them develop real-world language skills through conversation and meaningful interaction.
As part of the Gramacri team, I deliver lessons aligned with the Gramacri curriculum and platform, ensuring structured progression, consistency and confidence for both pupils and teachers.
Mandarin Chinese Instructor
Hello! My name is Teacher Johanna, and I am from Shenzhen, China, now resident in the UK. I have over 4 years of experience teaching Mandarin Chinese to children from Early Years to Key Stage 2, and I truly love what I do. Please note that our Mandarin Chinese programme is currently offered as part of our PPA cover service only.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Modern Languages and I am a passionate, observant and goal-driven teacher. I strongly believe that children learn best when they are actively engaged, which is why my lessons include songs, games, movement and storytelling. I aim to create a fun, supportive and interactive environment where children feel confident and motivated to learn Mandarin.
